However, fans decided that the decision of the Prince and Princess of Wales to take a black-and-white photo had a hidden meaning. The image, which sparked a heated discussion online, was posted on the official Instagram page of William and Kate.

The portrait was taken by royal photographer Josh Shinner in a studio in Windsor. By the way, this is also atypical for the family's Christmas cards, as they usually choose photos taken outdoors.

Nevertheless, the shot looks very stylish and modern, which also seemed symbolic to the fans. In their opinion, this once again clearly demonstrates that the Prince and Princess of Wales are the future of the British monarchy. Thus, all members of the family, including 10-year-old Prince George, 8-year-old Princess Charlotte, and 5-year-old Prince Louis, pose in dark jeans and white shirts. Charlotte sits in front in a chair, her younger brother stands next to her, and the others are seated behind her.
