"I'm his fan": American producer Visconti visited Vakarchuk's concert and admired the uniqueness of the band's tracks

American musician, multi-instrumentalist, singer and one of the most influential producers of the glam rock era Tony Visconti went to the concert of the Ukrainian band Okean Elzy in New York. Sviatoslav Vakarchuk performed in the U.S. on Sunday, April 30. The two performers managed to talk before the event.

Tony shared his impressions of the concert on Facebook. He called the band a "supergroup," noting the sincerity and uniqueness of Sviatoslav's music. In addition, as it turned out, Visconti is a big fan of the frontman of Okean Elzy (scroll to the end of the page to see the photo).

"Last night at Terminal 5 I saw the Ukrainian supergroup Okean Elzy. What an amazing band and what soulful music they have! The lead singer, Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, is very eloquent and open, singing to an audience of maybe 1500 people. I spoke with him before the performance. Needless to say, I'm a big fan of this band," the American star left her thoughts.

The celebrity paid another compliment to the Ukrainians, writing that their music is unique. According to her, in each song of Vakarchuk there are the musical scales of Eastern Europe. And Sviatoslav admitted to Tony - for him the audience of 1500 people is very small, because he's used to perform in front of hundreds of thousands of fans.
