"I was very excited": Loboda tried to apologise for attacking a girl with a placard in Kharkiv Video

Loboda apologised to girl who picketed her concert in Kharkiv

Ukrainian singer Svitlana Loboda has decided to apologise for her behaviour at a concert in Kharkiv on 25 June in Shevchenko Park. She then lashed out at a 16-year-old girl who picketed the stage with a placard saying "Kharkiv without Loboda".

The singer noted that she was very excited that day because of the presence of a large number of military personnel at the concert. Loboda wrote about this on her Instagram page, where she also published a video message about the situation (to see the video, scroll to the end of the page).

"Saw a girl standing there with a "Kharkiv without Loboda" poster, said hello to her and we started the concert. Me and my team did not resist the girl and nobody touched her," she stressed.

The artist apologised to Dariia, who was picketing alone, and her parents. She said she didn't mean to offend anyone, but was only trying to lighten the mood and made an unfortunate joke. "I apologise for that," Loboda wrote.

"I want to be helpful, to be in the country I love very much, where my team, my close relatives, my parents live. I want to help and do my best for the country, which is going through a very difficult time. And I want to help Ukrainians to survive. My roots are here and I will be with Ukraine until the end," the singer added.
