"How powerful! Better than the original!" Polish band Lunaria covered Teresa & Maria and shocked even Ukrainians

The Polish duo Lunaria recorded a cover of Teresa & Maria's song, with which singers Jerry Heil and alyona alyona will represent Ukraine at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest 2024. The Poles not only impressed with the power of their voices, singing the Ukrainian hit, but also translated the lyrics into Polish. The audience was delighted with this adaptation of the song.

Some even concluded that they liked the Polish cover better than the original. The corresponding video was posted on Lunaria's YouTube channel and on the band's Instagram, where it garnered thousands of enthusiastic reviews.

"It's a beautiful melody. Eurovision song by Jerry Heil and alyona alyona... Fingers crossed for the girls! We wish them the best performance at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024," the Polish artists signed their video.

The band's vocalist Borys Stepanyan captivated the audience with his gentle and powerful voice. Singing the lines familiar to every Ukrainian: "Mother Teresa and the Virgin Mary are with us. Barefoot, as if on a blade, we walked on the ground" in Polish, the singer impressed with his emotionality and the way he hit high notes.

The second member of the band, Michał Poselek, was responsible for the live music. He played the original melody on guitar and synthesizer.

Initially, the musicians made only a so-called demo version of the song translated from Ukrainian into Polish, but the audience demand was so great that they recorded a full-fledged cover.

Thousands of listeners, including many Ukrainians, were delighted with the Polish duo's work. Even Jerry Heil reacted to the cover. As you can see from her comment, she was shocked to hear her own song in such an interpretation. "WHATTTTTTTTTT," the winner of the National Selection 2024 wrote under the video, adding heart emoticons.

Ukrainians thank the musicians for their support and the new sound of the hit, and some even call the cover better than the original. Meanwhile, alyona alyona & Jerry Heil and Suspilne Broadcasting signed an agreement to participate in the 68th Eurovision Song Contest 2024. This is the last stage after which it is safe to say that the duo of famous artists with the song Teresa & Maria will represent Ukraine in the Swedish city of Malmö.
