Hollywood legend Barbra Streisand called on Americans to help Ukraine and said that Ukrainians "inspire the world"

Winner of two Oscars, as well as Emmy, Grammy, and Golden Globe awards, American actress and singer Barbra Streisand called on America to provide Ukraine with the necessary assistance. The Hollywood legend addressed her followers in her voice, but without video.

She illustrated her audio message with a blue and yellow flag. The pro-Ukrainian post appeared on her Instagram page, which has more than 1.6 million followers.

"The United States must support other countries when their democracy is encroached upon by authoritarian regimes. Ukraine's resistance to Russian invasion is an inspiration to the world. Best wishes," the star said.

In the description, she said that she could not "join them," probably referring to Ukrainians. "I support Ukraine in their fight against the Russian invasion and call on my country to provide all the help they need," Barbra Streisand wrote.

This is not her first attempt to draw the world's attention to the Russian invasion. Earlier, the celebrity showed off her new embroidered shirt, which was presented to the actress and singer as part of a global initiative to support Ukraine.
