The talented Ukrainian singer who won the eighth season of the vocal show "X-Factor", Mikhail Panchyshyn now serves in the ranks of the Special Forces and gives concerts to support the military. The artist has not abandoned creativity and found a way through his vocals to help his native country.

After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he took up arms and enlisted in the territorial defense. OBOZREVATEL decided to tell how the life of the musician-warrior turned out after winning the vocal show (to see photos and videos, scroll to the end of the page).

Mikhail Panchyshyn got the opportunity to record his tracks and music videos for them thanks to his victory in "X-Factor" in 2017. The TV channel also promised to pay for radio rotation and all expenses in the amount of 1 million hryvnias.

Already in 2018, Ukrainians learned about his track "Voda kryzhana" and had the opportunity to hear the artist's voice live at his solo concerts. He continued to develop in the musical sphere and did not give up his favorite occupation when the Russian Federation launched a full-scale war against Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

According to the musician, the war came to his family back in 2014. His brother named Pyotr served on the front lines in the Donbas. Mikhail Panchyshyn also had no doubts when he decided to defend Ukraine.

Since then, his social media photos from concerts have been replaced by pictures of the war and selfies with his comrades-in-arms. The defender posted pictures from the trenches and promised to return to show business after Ukraine wins.

In June 2022, he was caught in a "meat grinder" that lasted 14 hours. Mikhail Panchyshyn said that during a long and fierce battle with the enemy, he suffered an ear injury and partially lost his hearing, but promised not to give up music.

Later in the summer, the military man returned to Kyiv, where he began attending radio and television broadcasts. He was invited to perform on the anniversary of the war and the liberation of Bucha. The X-Factor winner is now focused on charity concerts and recording new songs.

In 2023, he received an award from the president of Ukraine for his military service.
