Have you followed the ship? For the first time in a long time, Russian songs are out of the top 20 most popular on Ukrainian YouTube
Ukrainians have not seen anything like this for about a year: there are no Russian songs in the top 20 most popular tracks on Ukrainian YouTube. Moreover, as of November 20, only three videos by foreign artists made it into the top twenty.
The"Popular" list includes new releases by domestic authors. OBOZ.UA offers to get acquainted with the top leaders in more detail.
The first place went to the song "Love Me" by Chico & Qatoshi and 100litsa. The black and white stylish video and the beat of the audio track captivated Ukrainians. Combined with the lyrics about love, the track confidently topped the chart with more than a million views in 8 days.
Silver went to the duet of SKYLERR and singer Nikita Kiselev with the song "Elevator". The black and white video tells the story of a love story that began in an ordinary elevator of a high-rise building. It's worth noting that "Elevator" hit the top twice: the audio version of the song also took sixth place.
The top three is closed by the Korean band Stray Kids and their song "LALALALA", which has garnered 46 million views in 10 days.
The top 10 includes Maksim Borodin, Jerry Heil, DZIDZIO, Artem Pivovarov, Alina Zhuk, and the band KDK. Thus, out of ten songs, only one is by a foreign author.
Out of the 10 songs that can be seen in the screenshot, one is Korean and one is Italian, while the rest are all domestic.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA told how in early November, for the first time in many months, the majority of Ukrainians refused to watch Russian content on YouTube. As of November 7, there was not a single Russian song in the top 10 of Popular as of November 7.
