God said: "Cut!" The legendary Alain Delon has died

French actor, star of the films The Red Circle and Samurai, Alain Delon died on August 18. The sex symbol of European cinema in the 60s and 80s was 88 years old.

The cause of the legendary actor's death has not been announced. According to the French media outlet Le Figaro, he was allegedly preparing for his impending death by dying on screen many times.

"You could say he was ready for it. Alain Delon had died so many times on screen that this must have seemed like the last shot. God, who is a bad screenwriter, said: "Cut!" Delon did not get up. He will no longer be directing ketch in the open air," the media reports.

A month ago, Delon's daughter, Anushka, said that despite being recognized as incapacitated, the actor remains handsome, well-groomed and elegant. It was known that the star was allegedly suffering from cancer and battling Alzheimer's disease.

However, according to Delon's children, the actor passed away at home.

"Alain Fabien, Anoushka, Anthony and (his dog) Lubo are deeply saddened to announce the death of their father. He passed away peacefully in his home in Soul, surrounded by his three children and family. His family asks you to kindly respect his privacy during this extremely painful time of mourning," the statement read.

Alain Delon is survived by three children: daughter Anoushka and sons Alain Fabien and Anthony.

It is known that in 2019, the actor suffered a stroke, which severely affected his health. After that, his children began to argue about how best to take care of their father. They repeatedly spoke about their father's "critical" condition. Anthony's son said that this Christmas was the "last" for the actor. As we can see, it was indeed the last for him.

That year, Alain Delon was honored in Cannes. There he received the Palme d'Or for his entire career.

"Tonight is a bit of a posthumous tribute, but in my lifetime. I'm going to leave, but I'm not leaving without thanking you," he said at the time.

Before his career as an actor, Delon worked as a loader in the port of Le Gallé. Then actor Jean-Claude Brialy noticed the young man's appearance and invited him to the Cannes Film Festival.
