From the longest nose to the tallest family: top 9 amazing records of the human body that have not been broken yet

The Guinness Book of World Records marks unique human and animal achievements, unheard-of natural phenomena, and outstanding events in show business, media, and culture. The book has 10 sections, one of which is human.

The chapters are divided into different categories of "the very best", "the very first" and "one of a kind", which are constantly updated. Still, there are several recorded records of the human body that no one has managed to break so far. Guinness World Records writes about them, encouraging people to share their uniqueness and perhaps become part of a chapter in the book of records.

The tallest teenagers

Today this record has no owners for both men and women as the previous record holders have reached the age of majority.

The men's record was held by Olivier Rioux from Canada, who in 2020 stood at 226.9 cm. The female record was held by Rumeysa Gelgi from Turkey, who is currently the tallest woman in the world. In 2014, she won the title among teenagers when she was 213.6 cm tall.

The longest legs

The Guinness Book of World Records is also looking for teenagers with extra-long legs.

Previously, this title was held by Maci Currin from the United States. Her left leg was 135.267 cm long and her right leg was 134.300 cm long, according to measurements in 2020. The male version of this record has never had an owner.

The longest nose

The proud owner of the longest nose was Mehmet Özyürek from Turkey.

His nose was 8.80 cm long when last measured in 2021. Unfortunately, he died and now this record is looking for a new owner. A woman who may have the longest nose has not been recorded either.

The tallest twins (no record)

No one has ever held the record for the tallest living twins. This is a general category, which means that any type of twin can be among the holders, regardless of whether they are identical or fraternal. The final value will consist of the twins' total height.

The longest nails

Currently, the record for the longest male fingernails does not have a holder. This title currently belongs to the late Melvin Booth from the United States, whose fingernails had a total length of 9.85 meters when measured in 2009.

The record for the longest toenails currently belongs to Louise Hollis in the United States with a total length of 220.98 cm, but it has not been broken since 1991.

The shortest family (no record)

The record book has the tallest family (the Trapp family from the United States with an average height of 203.29 cm), but the family with the shortest height has not yet been recorded. This will be a completely new name for the record.

The most stretchable skin

The record for the most stretchable skin hasn't been broken since 1999. It is held by Gary Turner from the UK, who was able to stretch his stomach to 15.8 cm when the measurements were last taken.

His skin is stretched like this because of a very rare medical condition called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a connective tissue disorder.

The shortest teenager

The record holder for the shortest teenager is no longer on record, as the previous holder, Jyoti Amge from India, has come of age and become the shortest woman. She was 61.95 cm tall when she claimed the title for female teenagers in 2009.

The longest hair

According to the Guinness World Records website, no one currently holds the record for the longest hair, nor a teenager neither a woman. The last holder of this record is Nilanshi Patel from India. Her hair was 200 cm long when it was last measured in 2020.

However, in fact, the new owner of this record is an artist and model Aliia Nasyrova, originally from Ukraine. Her hair is 2 m 57 cm and 3 mm long.
