Daria Donets, a fashion designer from Donetsk, introduced Elon Musk's mother, May Musk, to Ukrainian fashion, and she now wears the Ukrainian's clothes. It happened very unexpectedly for her.
At first, Daria thought this opportunity was just a joke, but the American woman appreciated the designer's talent and ordered more than one item from her. The founder of the Darja Donezz brand told OBOZ.UA about it.
It all started with a question about whom the Ukrainian woman would like to dress the most. At the time, Daria Donets thought of the mother of a famous engineer and billionaire.

"Once my team asked me who I would like to dress, I joked that I would like to dress Elon Musk's mom. And they took it seriously and sent my collection to May Musk's stylists! One day I was driving home tired and upset. I see that my PR person is calling and informs me that the stylist of Elon Musk's mother has ordered two pieces from us!" the Donetsk native recalled.
She became the first Ukrainian designer chosen by May Musk. This news brought the Ukrainian woman to tears and immediately lifted her spirits.

The second time the American remembered the Ukrainian designer was a month after the full-scale Russian invasion.
"At that time, I was in western Ukraine, and I had to figure out how to get my collection out of my studio in Kyiv. After all, everyone was sitting in basements, and not much was working. And then I found an unknown courier on an app, and a week after the delivery, my PR person called to say that May Musk was interested in my products again," the fashion expert said.
