French representative at Eurovision 2024 accused of sexual harassment: what he did

French representative at Eurovision 2024 accused of sexual harassment

The singer Slimane, who represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song Mon amour, was accused of sexual harassment. According to the victim, who was a former member of the artist's technical team, the incident took place at the end of 2023 after one of the soloist's concerts.

The ex-technician, whose name has not been disclosed, filed a complaint against the singer with the Saint-Etienne Prosecutor's Office in France on Monday, October 26, and accused him of sexual harassment. Local media outlet Le Parisien reports that the incident took place on the night of December 17-18, 2023.

The victim claims that after the concert, Slimane was having a small party to celebrate the end of the first leg of his song tour. Around one o'clock in the morning, after the technician had finished dismantling the stage and decorations, he came to the party, and then the singer allegedly pushed him against the wall and "forced him to do something."

According to the technician, he replied that he was not interested in sexual relations with the singer, and that he was heterosexual and married. The singer allegedly insisted on intimacy and dragged him into his dressing room.

"My client was very uncomfortable, he kept saying he wasn't interested, but the artist insisted and asked if other team members would be interested. My client left the dressing room in a hurry and got on the tour bus. He thought it was over, but at night, the artist sent him numerous messages and videos of a sexual and even pornographic nature for two and a half hours," explained Anna-Sophie Charrières, the technician's lawyer.

In the morning, the man managed to inform his employer about the incident, rather than keeping silent about his experience. Then the management allegedly urgently recalled two other employees who had worked with Slimane on this concert tour.

Rumors have spread among the French that the so-called purchased silence allowed the singer to perform in May at Eurovision 2024, participate in famous national shows such as The Voice, and gain international fame.

According to the source, the performer's team was unaware of the complaint by a member of the technical team and claimed that it was a "crazy story."

If the allegations are confirmed during the investigation, Slimane faces a one-year prison sentence and a fine of 15,000 euros.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that the network found references to P. Diddy' s crimes in songs and TV shows. The celebrity was arrested on suspicion of sex trafficking and racketeering without bail. The stars had long known what illegal activities the suspect was involved in, but for fear of an abrupt end to their careers, they did not tell anyone about what they had seen or heard.
