Forbes has named the highest paid actors in 2024. Photo

Forbes has released a list of the highest paid actors in 2024, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is at the top of it. Over the past year, he earned approximately $88 million thanks to his participation in the films Code Name Red and Moana 2, as well as profits from old projects. Despite the unsuccessful release of his first film, the actor actively promoted it on social media and contributed to its success on streaming.

Ryan Reynolds took the second place with an income of $85 million. He not only played the lead role in the blockbuster Deadpool and Wolverine, but also produced advertising campaigns through his own agency Maximum Effort. The full list of the highest-paid actors was announced by Forbes on its website.

1. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson ($88 million)

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson topped the list of the highest paid actors, setting a record fee for streaming movies - about $50 million for his role in Amazon's "Red One." In addition, when "Moana 2" moved from the series format to theatrical release, he signed a unique deal as an executive producer, receiving a share of the profits. With box office receipts exceeding $1 billion, Johnson, 52, received what his agent called "an astronomical fee."

2. Ryan Reynolds ($85 million)

Ryan Reynolds was the main producer, co-writer, and star of the biggest movie of the year, Deadpool and Wolverine, which earned more than $1.3 billion at the global box office. This was only part of his busy year.

3. Kevin Hart ($81 million)

Kevin Hart had the most diverse entertainment portfolio in 2024. He starred in the theatrical release of Borderlands, films for Netflix (Lift) and Amazon Prime (Die Hart 2: Die Harter), as well as in series on The Roku Channel (Die Hart, season three) and Peacock (Fight Night). In addition, he produced Tom Brady's Netflix entertainment show, hosted a weekly podcast on Spotify (Gold Minds), and has appeared on 90 comedy shows.

4. Jerry Seinfeld ($60 million)

Jerry Seinfeld, 70, who was recognized by Forbes as a billionaire last year, continues to be active on the stand-up scene, and his famous sitcom brings him eight-figure profits every year. During the pandemic, he wrote a script in which he invented the pop tart "No Frosting" and last year filmed this project for Netflix, playing the main role in it.

5. Hugh Jackman ($50 million)

After an emotional farewell to the character of Wolverine in the 2017 movie Logan, 56-year-old Hugh Jackman would have no reason to return to the role if it weren't for the huge payday and the opportunity to work with his good friend Ryan Reynolds again. However, Deadpool and Wolverine promises to be the most profitable movie of his career.

6. Brad Pitt ($32 million)

After Apple decided last year to release Lone Wolves directly on the AppleTV+ platform instead of theatrically, the company is now betting on Brad Pitt's Formula 1 movie, which will be released in theaters this summer.

7. George Clooney ($31 million)

George Clooney has publicly denied reports that he and Brad Pitt were paid $35 million each for the spy comedy Wolfs, calling it "bad for our industry if people think that's the standard for pay."

8. Nicole Kidman ($31 million)

Nicole Kidman has become one of the highest paid stars in the world of television miniseries, having starred in three major projects last year: for Netflix (The Perfect Match), Paramount+ (Lioness) and Amazon (Expats), earning more than $1 million per episode in each of them.

9. Adam Sandler ($26 million)

Adam Sandler's deal with Netflix is unparalleled in the industry, allowing him to star in both large commercial projects and smaller ones, while receiving the highest fees.

10. Will Smith ($26 million)

The movie Bad Boys: Ride or Die, starring Will Smith, was a hit, being among the fewer than 20 films that grossed more than $400 million worldwide last year.
