Everyone is hiding in the shadows: what Julia Roberts' children look like and why almost nothing is known about them. Photo.
Julia Roberts, the Hollywood actress and star of Eat, Pray, Love and Ocean's Eleven, avoids any details about her personal life that are not related to her career. That is why almost nothing is known about her three children and her husband, Danny Moder. All of their descendants, except for their 19-year-old daughter Hazel Moder, who occasionally appears in public, hide in the shadows.
According to People, Julia Roberts has always put her family first, even when her career began to grow rapidly. In addition to her daughter Hazel, the couple is also raising her twin brother Phineas, 19, and Henry, 17, and Roberts' social media accounts hardly feature photos of her children.
"The life I built with my husband. The life we've built with our children. And that's the best thing - to come home at the end of the day to them in triumph," Roberts told CBS Sunday Morning.
For almost 20 years of her motherhood, the actress has managed to keep her personal life a secret. The same applies to her children, who do not have official pages on social media and do not share anything private with the public. Only occasionally can you find family photos on the Instagram of the celebrity's husband. However, the last time Danny Moder posted a photo with his family was back in 2021.
"We're trying to protect our children. We just want to have our family life, not interfere with it," the star said in an interview with USA Today back in 2013.
Just last year in November, Julia Roberts shared a photo of herself and the twins on their 19th birthday. However, it was an archival photo from when Hazel and Phineas were babies.
"It needs to be celebrated, and I know Instagram is a place where people like to share happy things. I really love them and I really came across this cute photo by accident. It allows me to share something as their proud mom without violating their privacy," she explained to Extra.
The celebrity couple also created cute traditions in their family. One of them was the almost complete absence of using phones at home, especially during meals.
"So we had simple rules: we had a charging station where everyone put their phones when they came home. No phones at the table, of course," the star said. "I think of a family getting together at the end of the day, and you really have something to talk about over dinner because you haven't been in touch hundreds of times during the day.
