Eurovision Street, performances and "musical surprises": Malmö told how hundreds of thousands of Euro fans will be welcomed

The organizers of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, together with the authorities of Malmö, Sweden, have revealed how they will host hundreds of thousands of Euro fans this May. The 350,000-strong city is already preparing to set up stages, coming up with programs for guests, "musical surprises" and performances.

Fans of the song contest will have not only the stadium but the entire street at their disposal. More details about the organization of leisure activities are available on the Eurovision Song Contest website.

A large-scale fan zone - the Eurovision Village - will be set up in Folkets Park, which can be reached by public transport, bicycle or on foot. The convenient location will allow tourists to get to the main stage without obstacles and traffic jams.

"We in Malmö hope to welcome hundreds of thousands of guests and organize this collective celebration together. It is time to showcase our creative and bold city," said Karin Karlsson, Managing Director of City Host Event.

For guests' leisure, stationary stages and mobile venues will be set up, where artists in various genres will perform.

The park will turn into a meeting place for Eurovision fans, where they will be able to share their common passion from May 4 to 11. In late spring, when the trees and flowers bloom, it will be especially beautiful.

In addition to the stages, several areas for active recreation and socializing will be built in the Village, and cultural and food establishments in the park will prepare their programs. But that's not all. In addition to the Eurovision Village, fans of the annual show will have a whole street dedicated to the contest.

It will become not only a route through the host city, but also a place to meet and talk to residents, have a snack in themed restaurants and spend a few warm evenings.

"As you walk down the street, you will encounter musical surprises and food from all over the city and the world," the website announced.

One of the main locations of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be the Malmö Live congress and concert hall, where the Turquoise Carpet and Euroclub will be held.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that recently it became known where the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be held. Although the French representative won last year, the show will be organized in another European country.
