As part of the Culture vs War project, ANTYTILA will hold a second series of events in US cities. The meetings will be organized jointly with the Ukrainian community in the United States, the Revived Soldiers of Ukraine Foundation, and United Help Ukraine, at the initiative of the Watch Ukrainian Association, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the MHP for Community Charitable Foundation. The first part of the project was successfully held in the cities of Great Britain.

This was reported to OBOZ.UA by the group's press service. The unique format of the event is a screening of the short film Culture vs War, a performance, and a frank conversation with the Antytila band in a question-and-answer format.

The topics of the heroic struggle of the Ukrainian people, the future of Ukraine and the return of prisoners of war, the musical activity and military service of the ANTYTILA band, as well as other issues that will interest visitors, will be discussed.

The program will also include an acoustic performance by ANTYTILA with songs that have become part of the lives of Ukrainians around the world and an auction with unique items, which will be held for the first time in the United States. Everyone who attends the event will be able to personally ask questions to the band members, buy lots at the auction, including military trophies: from parts of enemy UAVs, maps, and ammunition to munitions decorated as museum exhibits, as well as listen to famous songs in a unique acoustic format – "TDME", "Catch the Moment", "Viryla", "Fortress Bakhmut" and others.

The meetings will take place:

  • September 7 – Philadelphia – Mykhailivka Festival
  • September 8 – New York – Oceana Theater
  • September 13 – Boston – Regent Theater
  • September 14 – Chicago – Christian Heritage Academy
  • September 21 – Minneapolis – Ukrainian Festival (Entrance to the festival is free)
  • September 22 – Washington, DC – Ronald Reagan Building Center

The "Culture vs War" project was initiated by the "Watch Ukrainian!" Association in April 2022 to record and convey the truth about the Russian war against Ukraine through the stories of the struggle of famous artists. In the war with Russia, Ukraine and Ukrainians have transformed into a nation of winners, a country of heroes, through tireless resistance and incredible national heroism.

Overcoming the trials of war with dignity, Ukrainians are moving to a new level of self-awareness, self-identification, statehood, and global subjectivity. The heroes of the project are famous artists who joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and cultural figures who are actively involved in volunteer work.

The project resulted in the creation of a set of media products in cooperation with Ukrainian cultural figures who, through their own specific examples and stories, familiarized the world and Ukrainian communities with the values and meanings of Ukrainian culture that help Ukrainians to resist the aggressor.

"When ANTYTILA was withdrawn from the frontline, we were given a clear task to inform the world community through all possible sources about the truth about the war, to accumulate resources to meet the needs of the Defense Forces and to draw attention to the struggle of the Ukrainian people against the occupiers through music and interviews. "We've been doing this for over a year now," said frontman Taras Topolia, "Since we stopped being directly involved in combat operations, we have raised over $2 million for various needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, thanks to the support of thousands of Ukrainians and foreigners around the world. We have just completed a large-scale project for 10,000 high-quality first aid kits for the Armed Forces, during which we raised $650,000."
