Coldplay frontman Chris Martin fell into an open manhole in the middle of the stage at a concert in Melbourne, Australia. He miraculously managed to escape without injury thanks to the staff who saw the potential danger and lent their hands to the artist.

The footage that circulated on TikTok shows that the soloist was walking backward on the stage and did not look where he was going. At the same time, he was communicating with the audience, so Martin's attention was on the people, not his own safety on stage.

The artist took big steps back and one of his feet fell into the pit. He was picked up by members of the organization team in time to cushion his fall. Otherwise, he could have hit his spine and head on the stairs.

The audience screamed at once, and Chris Martin rushed to calm them down. "That was not planned. Thank you for catching me," the singer said.

After the incident, the vocalist immediately continued his performance.

After the concert, Coldplay headed to Sydney as part of their world tour. The band plans to complete a series of performances in different parts of the world in September 2025.
