Cold revenge? It became known who could spread rumors about Queen Letizia's affair with her son-in-law
Former King Juan Carlos I of Spain decided to take revenge on his son Philip VI, so he spread rumors about his wife, 51-year-old Queen Letizia, cheating on him with her sister's ex-husband Jaime Del Burgo. At least that's what the Spanish media claim, accusing Juan Carlos I of "fomenting" the rumors.
According to the Daily Mail, popular radio host Federico Jiménez Losantos said that this is another campaign organized against Philip VI, and then added that the lies are "spread" by the ex-king's circles.

It was previously known that Juan was almost estranged from the family, and so he probably started a "campaign" against his son Philip. He ruled Spain until 2014, but then abdicated in favor of his descendant. Officially, Carlos stated that he abdicated because of his age, but there is speculation that it was due to corruption schemes.
In 2020, the former king fled Spain because of the scandal and is now in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Spanish media quoted sources close to the former monarch as saying that he was upset that he had been kicked out of his family.

Soon after, the entrepreneur shared a selfie the Queen took in the mirror during one of her pregnancies as proof of their relationship. The undated selfie shows that Letizia was wearing a black pashmina, which Jaime claims belonged to him. In particular, he supported the photo with an alleged message from the Queen, "My love. I am wearing your pashmina. I feel like I'm with you. I'm counting the hours until we see each other again." But Internet users questioned his statements as there was no evidence to support his claims.
