Cancer patient Shannen Doherty has spoken frankly about how she is preparing for death

Shannen Doherty tells how she prepares for her impending death

Shannen Doherty, the American actress of Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed, who is battling stage 4 cancer, said she is preparing for her own death and is trying to make her mother Rosie Elizabeth's life easier in the future. She notes that her mother is now her priority.

In her podcast "Let's be clear", Shannen Doherty said that she is trying to carefully sort out her own belongings at home to leave the most valuable things after her death. Some of them have already ended up in the trash or in the wrong hands, and some are for sale.

These efforts were driven by the actress's desire to ease her mother's burden after her own death. "My priority at this time is my mother. I know it will be hard for her if I die before her. So I've made it so that she doesn't have to worry about other things," Doherty said in the podcast.

The actress pointed out her peculiarity - she loves to buy furniture, while other women mostly "shop" for clothes.

"I don't want her to have a bunch of things to deal with. I don't want her to have four closets full of furniture," Doherty explained.

Her home in Tennessee, USA, was once a dream that she had to give up. The actress planned to live there with her mother and take care of horses. "It was very hard and very emotional [to give it up]," the star admitted.

However, her dream of helping animals still remained, so she decided that she would support rescue services. "I can still realize my dream of helping horses... I can still realize this dream by really participating in rescue work that is more important to me," she said.

It's worth noting that Shannen Doherty is not going to give up on breast cancer treatment. She still dreams of a happy future and a complete recovery from the consequences of cancer - metastasis, when the disease spreads to other organs.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the star of Charmed has already indicated who she does not want to see at her own funeral. She assured that she did not want people who were not with her in the most difficult moments of her life to see her off.
