Popular American actress Kate Micucci has been diagnosed with lung cancer. The star, whom viewers know primarily for her role as Lucy in the cult TV series The Big Bang Theory, showed her fans photos and videos from the hospital after she underwent surgery.
Micucci admitted that the news of lung cancer shocked her as she led a healthy lifestyle and had never even smoked cigarettes. The 43-year-old celebrity posted a video from her hospital room on her TikTok.
"Hello everyone, this is not TikTok, but SickTok. I'm in the hospital, but it's because I had surgery yesterday to remove lung cancer," Micucci said.

According to the actress, she had a routine blood test when she suddenly learned from doctors that one of the indicators was abnormal and indicated inflammation in her body. Subsequently, the radiologist noticed a spot in the lung on several of the scans. This is how the star was diagnosed with a serious illness. Fortunately, at an early stage.
Kate will stay in the hospital for a few more weeks. However, despite her fatigue, the actress is feeling well and is already planning to return to work.

"It's all very strange because I've never smoked cigarettes in my life, so, you know, it was unexpected. But I guess it happens, so the good news is that the cancer was detected at an early stage, removed, and now I'm fine. Why I'm still talking... because I'm under anesthesia," the actress said.
