Georgie Purcell, 31, the youngest member of the Australian parliament, criticized the local Nine Network TV channel for slightly altering her photo. The Australian woman noted that the story used an image that enlarged her breasts and made her outfit more revealing.

In a statement, the channel said that the changes were due to Photoshop automation, not the editorial team's desire. According to the Daily Mail, the photo was shown on Monday evening, January 29, in the newscast, and the heroine of the story reacted to it in the morning.

Georgie Purcell, a member of parliament from the Animal Justice Party, publicly condemned the decision of Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan not to ban duck hunting.

"I went through a lot yesterday. But having the media photoshop my body and outfit was not in my bingo card," the MP wrote, adding that she could not imagine something like this happening to a male colleague.

In the image used by Nine, the official was wearing a top that showed her cleavage, arms and other parts of her naked body. In the original image, she was wearing a dress.

Georgie Purcell explained that this could not be her body for one very obvious reason - she has had a tattoo on her stomach since 2020.

The Nine Network quickly responded to the scandal and apologized for the fact that the photo was different from the original.

"I'd like to sincerely apologize to Georgie Purcell for the graphic error made in yesterday's edition. Our graphics department found Georgie's image online to use in our duck hunting article. As always, the image was resized to fit our requirements. During this process, Photoshop automation created an image that did not match the original," the company explained.

By the way, the official recently admitted that she worked as a stripper at the age of 19, but did not want to publicize this stage of her life. However, she came across photos taken at that time online, so there was no point in denying the part-time job.
