Hudson Meek, a young actor known for playing the child version of the main character in the popular action movie Baby Driver, as well as several roles in television series, died after falling out of a moving car. He was 16 years old.
Mick's accident occurred on December 19 in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, and he suffered blunt force trauma after falling on the road, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He was taken to a local hospital but passed away on December 21.
"Our hearts are broken to hear that Hudson Meek has gone to be with Jesus today," reads a post on Meek's Instagram page. "His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he did so much and made a significant impact on everyone he met.
Vestavia Hills police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the actor's death. A sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School, he was a member of the Vestavia Hills Rebel football team. According to his obituary, he was also passionate about his faith, The Simpsons, having watched all 36 seasons of the series, close friends, water sports, anything to do with the woods, traveling, and acting.
Mick appeared in several minor roles on television and in short films before landing a role in Edgar Wright's 2017 film about a getaway driver, the adult version of which was played by Ansel Elgort. The film received critical acclaim and box office success, which helped propel Mick's career forward.
