Apple Music has named Billie Eilish the artist of the year 2024
Apple Music has announced 22-year-old American artist Billie Eilish as its Artist of the Year, recognizing the singer-songwriter's extraordinary impact throughout 2024. After her historic second Oscar win and two additional Grammy Awards for her contribution to the feature film "Barbie" with the track What I Was Made For, Billie released her third full-length album, "HIT ME HARD AND SOFT."
After its release, it soared to number one on Apple Music's all-genre album chart in 138 countries. This is stated on the company's official website.
In August of this year, Billie performed her new hit Birds Of a Feather at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympics, singing on stage in Los Angeles, where the next Olympic Games will be held. On that day, Eilish reached the highest number of auditions on Shazam.
