The 46-year-old singer Serhii Babkin, who left for Germany with his family after the outbreak of full-scale war, has faced a wave of hate from Ukrainians online. The fact is that the artist, along with his colleague Andrii Zaporozhets, announced the 5'nizza band's tour of several major European cities in Russian.

The corresponding video was posted on the band's Instagram page. The fact that the performers decided to tell their fans about their upcoming concerts in the language of the aggressor country caused strong indignation among Ukrainians, many of whom accused the singers of entertaining Russians abroad.

In the published recording, the former coach of the talent show "The Voice" plays a short melody on the guitar, while Andrii Zaporozhets sings that 5'nizza will appear on the stage in Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Valencia, and Frankfurt. Then Serhii Babkin added that the tour would last from February 9 to 16. The artists announced all this in Russian, which caused negative emotions among Ukrainians.

"I used to love you very much. But now you are just pathetic. It's a pity to see former idols turn into shit."

"Why do such artists with such an audience "ferociously" fight abroad instead of developing Ukrainian culture and language? It's as if we live in parallel worlds. Doves of peace."

"Okay, you left, but why in Russian? Or are you Russian performers now? Just announce that you are no longer Ukrainian artists and that's it! It looks pathetic. When are you going to America? When is Hamburg? Your favorite Russian listeners are waiting for you!"

"The Russians are bombing your native Kharkiv every day, erasing the streets you walked down, destroying the houses you knew, killing people who probably listened to your band's songs and went to your concerts. But it's nothing, right? It's not worth it at all to speak and perform your songs in your native language, right? Or does money not smell?"

"Disgusting and disgusting – Serhii Babkin and Andrii Zaporozhets. In dark times, you get to know the most pitiful people. To popularize the Russian language with your performances, you are just arch-innovators and businessmen."

It's worth noting that this is not the first scandal that Serhii Babkin has been involved in. In 2023, the 5'nizza band was caught collaborating with Russians. To organize concerts abroad, the artists turned to a promoter from Russia. At the time, the performers' director justified them by saying that the organizer of the performances was allegedly a longtime friend of Babkin's and, despite being born and raised in the aggressor country, had long been a citizen of Israel and condemned the war.

Later, the singer decided to release the song "Betrayal," in which he exaggeratedly ridiculed Ukrainians who insult each other for "accidental" Russian words, viewing content from a terrorist country, not posting about the war, buying expensive brands during a full-scale invasion, and so on. In addition, after the premiere of the track, the artist was suspected of plagiarism. The fact is that Serhii Babkin's "Betrayal" is very similar to the work of satirical poet Yurko Kosmyna called "Song about the Information Space."
