The Latvian basketball player's heart stopped due to asphyxiation, a critical drop in oxygen levels in the body. A phone, on which he left the singer's number and a note "call Ania", was lying near him.
The former spouses met in 2019, when the athlete was a player for the Khimki basketball club. Their romance started quickly enough that they got married in 2020. It is noted that for a long time Sedokova and Timma lived separately, switching between two cities (he played in a club in the United States, while the artist entertained the Moscow audience). After four years of marriage, the former VIA Gra singer decided to file for divorce. The basketball player seemed to take the news badly. It is noted that after that, the athlete started to have suicidal thoughts.

During his career, Jānis Timma played 56 games for the Latvian national team. He also played for Olympiacos, Basconia, Darüşşafaka, Obradoiro, and several Russian clubs.
It should be reminded that this is not the first loss in Sedokova's personal life, as in 2014 the life of her first husband, former Dynamo football club player Valentyn Belkevych, was cut short.
