Anna Sedokova's ex-husband and famous Latvian basketball player takes his own life in Moscow: what he wrote in the suicide note

It is reported that 32-year-old Latvian basketball player Jānis Timma, the ex-husband of singer and traitor Anna Sedokova, who is ignoring the war in her homeland, killed himself. The athlete's body was found in the entrance of a five-story building in the center of Moscow.

According to the Russian media, he took his own life a few days after his divorce from the Kyiv native. It is noted that the relationship between them has been very strained lately, so propagandists suggest that the reason for the suicide could be the breakup of the former spouses.

The Latvian basketball player's heart stopped due to asphyxiation, a critical drop in oxygen levels in the body. A phone, on which he left the singer's number and a note "call Ania", was lying near him.

The former spouses met in 2019, when the athlete was a player for the Khimki basketball club. Their romance started quickly enough that they got married in 2020. It is noted that for a long time Sedokova and Timma lived separately, switching between two cities (he played in a club in the United States, while the artist entertained the Moscow audience). After four years of marriage, the former VIA Gra singer decided to file for divorce. The basketball player seemed to take the news badly. It is noted that after that, the athlete started to have suicidal thoughts.

During his career, Jānis Timma played 56 games for the Latvian national team. He also played for Olympiacos, Basconia, Darüşşafaka, Obradoiro, and several Russian clubs.

It should be reminded that this is not the first loss in Sedokova's personal life, as in 2014 the life of her first husband, former Dynamo football club player Valentyn Belkevych, was cut short. The athlete died from a blood clot. At the time, the singer reacted to the tragedy by calling him "a brilliant football player, a good man and a father." Sedokova and Belkevich' marriage lasted 3 years, during which their daughter Alina was born.
