Actress Anastasia Kolvakh was killed in the Russian shelling of Poltava: her husband serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine
An actress and volunteer Anastasia Kolvakh was killed in a Russian strike on a residential building in Poltava on February 1. The girl used to work in the theater, and her husband serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The tragic news was reported on Facebook by the Theater of Contemporary Dialogue in Poltava, where Kolvakh worked. The cultural institution expressed its condolences to the artist's family and friends.
"On February 1, a Russian missile killed our colleague, an actress, co-author of performances and productions. Our Nastia Kolvakh. We express our condolences to Nastia's family, all her acquaintances, friends, and colleagues who knew her. We grieve with you. Words are not enough. Fly high, bird," the theater said.
In particular, its representatives emphasized that the girl was a multifaceted personality and, while acting, she also worked in the IT field. She was also an active volunteer.
Anastasia Kolvakh worked with the UAnimals NGO, planting trees. She also helped local residents when it came to animals. In particular, in August, she "saved" the homes of Poltava residents from about 200 bats, according to the online publication Poltavshchyna.
Kolvakh's death was reported on Facebook by her old friend Diana Shaidaieva. She remembers the deceased as an active participant in creative projects in the theater.
"In the morning, I found out that Nastia Kolvakh lived in the same building. Nastia and I are not that close, but we played in the theater together in 2020-2021, shared food and a few secrets, gave each other massages, and traveled halfway across the country with performances. Nastia went to a caroling workshop and played the Goat in our Koliada, and afterwards she gave my sister and me a ride home. We admired her skillful driving, and she told us funny stories. Nastya is funny, bright and loud. She has never forced herself to believe in the best before as much as she did today. A day of rain, endless sandwiches and chat updates. In the evening, we were told that Nastya had died," said Diana Shaidayeva.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that on February 1, Russians struck a five-story building in Poltava. Among those killed by Russia were two children, and the total number of dead reached 12 people. 17 people were injured.
