The Princess of Wales's little friend, 8-year-old Mila Sneddon, made a touching appeal to Kate Middleton after she told her about her cancer diagnosis and the start of chemotherapy treatment. Mila knows what it's like to fight cancer like no other. At the age of four, she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and two years ago she was declared cancer-free. During treatment and after recovery, Catherine supported the girl, and now the schoolgirl has decided to thank the future British Queen in the same way.

At first, Mila's mother, Linda Sneddon, at her daughter's request, published an appeal to the entire royal family on X (formerly Twitter). Subsequently, they both spoke to The Mirror journalists, in a conversation with whom they addressed the 42-year-old cancer patient Princess of Wales touchingly.

Thus, Linda wrote on her social media: "We extend our love, support and best wishes to William, George, Charlotte and Louis and wish Catherine a peaceful and speedy recovery."

Meanwhile, eight-year-old Mila spoke movingly in an interview with a British publication: "She will be brave because I was brave, and she will fight this like I did."

The girl's mother also added that the situation with Kate Middleton was supposed to be a vivid example for people that cancer does not pay attention to the status or life path of a person – it does not spare anyone.

"Kate is a mother, a wife, she is young, beautiful, athletic, and she is facing this. This shows that there is no difference for cancer, it can strike anyone at any time. We wish her a peaceful and speedy recovery... Kate's statement came on the two-year anniversary of Mila's remission. Mila contacted me and said she wanted to send Kate a card. Kate had shown Mila so much compassion, care and support both during and after treatment, so it was very emotional to see her now facing her own health challenges," commented Linda.

It should be noted that during cancer treatment, Mila and the princess kept in touch by phone, and in December 2021, the girl took part in a concert of Christmas carols organized by Kate at Westminster Abbey. And their first meeting took place in May 2021 at Holyroodhouse Palace in Edinburgh, Scotland.

On Kate Middleton's birthday in January 2022, Mila posted a greeting on social media, to which the princess replied, writing: "Thank you, Mila!"

On the evening of March 22, the Prince and Princess of Wales posted a video on their page where the future queen explained that she had to take a break from her duties not only because of abdominal surgery but also because of chemotherapy. Catherine was diagnosed with cancer.
