For the first time, the National Agency for Combating Corruption (NACP) has removed a company from the list of war sponsors. Peninsula Petroleum Limited submitted a letter to the NACP confirming that it had severed all economic ties with Russia. As a result, the company was removed from the list of war sponsors.

This is stated in a statement on the NACP website. Thus, Peninsula Petroleum Limited is an Irish company that delivers marine fuel. The list of war sponsors still includes a large number of companies. Among them are those that operate in Ukraine. For example, the list includes P&G, Auchan, and Metro.

"The first exclusion from the list of international sponsors of war is the best proof that this tool really works," said NACP Head Oleksandr Novikov. It is worth noting that the list is a reputational tool. It does not deprive companies of any rights and opportunities.

However, the presence of a brand on the list of war sponsors should primarily affect the reputation of customers, and this should be taken into account by the company's partners and clients. It should be noted that Leroy Merlin is also among those who continue to work and earn money in Russia. In Ukraine, one of their stores was destroyed by a Russian missile, but this did not affect the position of the management.

During the full-scale war, dozens of international companies left the Russian market. Most of them did so voluntarily in the first days of the war. Some companies were forced to stop working in Russia because they were afraid of sanctions or logistical problems.
