Two Ukrainian children died in the Gaza Strip

Two Ukrainian children were killed in a rocket attack on the Gaza Strip. The brother and sister were 9 and 6 years old.

This was reported in a comment to OBOZ.UA by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleh Nikolenko. The deceased minors have already been identified, and the Ministry expressed condolences to their parents.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine confirms the death of two Ukrainian children born in 2014 and 2017 in the Gaza Strip," said the spokesman.

He added that the Ukrainian mission in Ramallah is investigating all the circumstances of the tragedy and keeping in touch with the families.

The children's mother survived. The woman is from Kharkiv, said Maksym Tiokin, head of the Ukrainian Embassy to the Palestinian National Authority, in a commentary to Suspilne.

Currently, the total number of confirmed victims among Ukrainians in Israel is 19 dead and 1 missing. There are 3 dead in the Gaza Strip.

As a reminder, on October 17, the life of 24-year-old Ukrainian citizen Leila Khyzha, also a native of Kharkiv, ended there. She and her daughter were in the house of her husband's parents when a rocket hit the building. The man was in Egypt at the time.
