Donald Trump believes Biden is easier to defeat than other Democrats

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, who hopes to return to office this year, and his campaign representatives expect that President Joe Biden will remain the Democratic candidate in the election. They believe that he will be easier to defeat than other Democrats.

The Washington Post writes about this, citing information from four sources familiar with the situation. The Democratic nominee is expected to be announced next week.

Publicly, Trump and his allies have rejected the possibility that Biden will drop out of the race. They say it is too late for the Democrats to change course. However, in private, they are discussing and preparing for different situations, as they fear that another Democrat or Vice President Camille Harris will be more difficult to defeat.

Trump's spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said that the Trump campaign expects Biden to be the Democratic candidate. At the same time, she also emphasized that their team is confident in Trump's victory.

"We are confident that no matter what, we will win," Levitt said.

The newspaper's sources claim that Trump's team believes that his victory in the election will not be hindered even by his possible imprisonment on several charges.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Trump is negotiating with Putin over the war in Ukraine, in particular, what part of the Ukrainian territory Moscow can keep for itself. This was reported by Politico, citing information from two former Trump national security officials.
