Tragedy at a ski resort in Georgia: 12 bodies found in a restaurant
On Saturday, December 14, the bodies of 12 people were found in an Indian restaurant in the ski resort of Gudauri, Georgia. One of the victims was a Georgian citizen, the other 11 were foreigners.
This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. The victims are believed to be employees of the restaurant - their bodies were found in a sleeping area on the second floor of the restaurant.
According to police, no external signs of violence were found on the bodies.
According to preliminary information, a generator was installed in a closed room near the bedrooms. It is assumed that it was turned on the day before after the restaurant lost power.
Forensic experts were working at the scene of the incident, and police questioned witnesses.
A forensic medical examination has already been ordered to determine the exact cause of death. A criminal case was opened under Article 116 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (causing death by negligence).
