EU diplomat Josep Borrell is confident that the US will continue to support Ukraine. He believes that the US budget will be revised, despite the fact that lawmakers in Washington refused to accept a funding package for Kyiv to avoid a government shutdown.

"I am confident that this decision will be reconsidered, and in general we will continue to be on your side," Borrell said.
At the same time, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba also downplayed the significance of the US Congress' decision. He called the decision an "incident".
"We are working with both sides of Congress to ensure that this does not happen again under any circumstances," the minister said.
Borrell added that the United States will continue to support Ukraine as long as Joe Biden remains in office.
