In Poland, farmers have joined the fight against illegal migrants from Belarus. To do this, they spill pig manure along the state border.

Farmers believe that such measures will help stop the influx of illegal immigrants. This was reported by the CenyRolnicze portal.

A representative of the OOPR group, Damian Murawiec, said that Polish farmers are beginning to mark the border area on the Polish-Belarusian border with pig manure. In this way, farmers want to show that they are in solidarity with the security forces.

In his turn, Hubert Ojdana, a member of the Farmers' Trade Union Korona, said that farmers are setting up manure barriers at a certain distance from the fence that separates Belarus from Poland. He also emphasized that the farmers are doing this legally as they have received the consent of the authorities. The farmer noted that protecting Poland from illegal immigrants is legally complicated as the military cannot use weapons to protect against migrants.

"Everything will be in accordance with the law. We hope that if we spill pig manure, illegal immigrants will not cross this line if they follow their religious beliefs," the farmers said.

Poland noted that most of the people trying to break through the fence on the Polish-Belarusian border are Muslims. Followers of Islam consider pigs to be "dirty" animals and refrain from anything related to them.
