IDF Chief: Israel can reach anywhere in the Middle East

The Israeli Defense Forces said they continue to strike at Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip, but noted that they have the ability to "operate in other regions as well." Israeli troops can reach anywhere in the Middle East.

This was stated by Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces, Herzi Halevi, during his visit to the park of modern fifth-generation F-35I fighter-bombers of the Israeli Air Force on Monday, November 6. His words were quoted by The Times of Israel.

He noted that this air base "knows how to reach anywhere in the Middle East".

"We have been in a state of war for a month now, launching powerful strikes against Hamas, striking Hamas leadership, striking commanders, destroying Hamas infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, but we are also constantly ready to act in other areas," Halevi said.

The head of the Israeli General Staff told the soldiers that he had recently seen an F-35I aircraft providing air support to troops at a distance of about 200 meters in the Gaza Strip.

"We have never done anything like this before. With very heavy munitions, there is a very good connection between what the ground forces need and what the aircraft can deliver. This connection of air and ground together... we always knew it was strong, now we see that it is much stronger than we thought," the military said.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said that on the evening of November 6, ground troops entered Gaza with fighting. The Israel Defense Forces found Hamas rocket launchers in a youth center and a mosque.
