On September 28, a powerful explosion occurred in a high-rise building in the Turkish city of Istanbul. According to Turkish media, the explosion was caused by a natural gas leak.

The explosion killed two people and injured 4 others, one of them in serious condition. This was reported by CNN Türk.

The explosion reportedly occurred in a 5-story building. The top floor, where the explosion occurred, was destroyed. A large number of police, firefighters and medical teams arrived at the scene.

Residents recorded footage from the explosion site and posted it online.
