UAF destroys Tor SAM system worth $25 million in hostile rear area
Ukrainian soldiers continue to effectively destroy the occupiers' manpower and equipment. Thus, the operators of the FPV drones of the 103rd Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces managed to destroy a rare enemy Tor surface-to-air missile system in the rear.
A video of the destruction of the occupiers' equipment was posted on the Telegram channel of journalist Yuriy Butusov. The cost of such an anti-aircraft missile system is about $25 million.
It should be noted that "Tor" is an all-weather tactical air defense missile system designed to protect important administrative, economic, and military facilities. Its function is to cover the first echelons of ground troops from attacks by anti-radar and cruise missiles, remotely piloted aircraft, air bombs, airplanes and helicopters.
This system can operate both in manual mode with the participation of operators and in fully automatic mode, controlling the airspace and ensuring the downing of all air targets that are not identified as "their own."
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue offensive actions in the Bakhmut direction. Thus, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had partial success near the village of Andriivka. For their part, Russian terrorists are trying to advance to regain lost ground.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have advanced up to 400 meters in various parts of the southern flank of Bakhmut. The soldiers need to consolidate the gains they have made, and then the details of their successful advance can be announced.
