The US policy on striking the Armed Forces of Ukraine deep into the territory of the Russian Federation with American weapons has not changed. That is, the United States is not yet allowing the Defense Forces to attack Russia with long-range weapons.

This was stated by US Department of Defense spokesman Patrick Ryder. At a briefing at the Pentagon, the major general emphasized that his country is not at war with the Russian Federation.

"We are not at war with Russia. We do not seek conflict with Russia. We're just supporting a democratic country... and giving them the ability to defend themselves," Ryder said.

According to him, the Ukrainian army can use American assistance to defend itself against cross-border attacks, i.e. to fire back.

"But as for long-range, deep strikes against Russia, our policy has not changed," the Pentagon spokesman said.
