The enemy is trying to storm Bohdanivka: AFU on the situation near Bakhmut
In the Bakhmut sector, 78 invaders were killed. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders neutralized 138 occupants in the Lyman sector.
This was stated by Iliia Yevlash, head of the press service of the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops, on the air of the national TV marathon. According to him, the Russians are mostly sending units from the "Storm Z" and "Storm V" prisoners to attack.
He said that in the Bakhmut sector, the enemy is intensifying its actions, in particular near Bohdanivka, where the occupiers are trying to attack with small assault groups under the cover of drones and artillery. The Russians do not use heavy equipment due to severe weather conditions, the military explained.
"Most often, the Russians send Storm Z and Storm V units, which they care about the least. In addition, prisoners from these units are used to detect minefields and firing points. Moreover, the occupants fired 358 times at Ukrainian positions," Yevlash said.
According to him, 78 occupants were killed and 78 wounded in 19 combat engagements, and an infantry fighting vehicle and nine unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed.
"The enemy made 247 attacks in the Lyman sector using mortar launchers of various calibers. As a result of 5 combat engagements, the enemy lost 138 people killed and wounded and 12 pieces of military equipment, including a tank, a car and 10 drones of various types," Yevlash added.
