The counteroffensive of the AFU in the south: Humeniuk said how far they managed to advance

Ukrainian soldiers push Russian occupants back from some positions in the south

Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to put pressure on the Russian occupiers in the south of our country. They managed to push the invaders back to a distance of three to four kilometers in different parts of the frontline.

The defenders continue to conduct counter-battery combat and drive the Russians from their positions. This was reported by Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces, during a TV marathon.

She described the situation on the southern front as "quite tense." At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers continue to conduct counter-battery fighting and drive the occupiers from their positions

"Objectively, we need to clear a strip of at least 30 kilometers to be effective," Humeniuk outlined the minimum task for the defenders of the South.

Earlier, the head of the Joint Coordination Center said that Ukrainian soldiers need to "clear" a strip 10-15 km from the left bank. This is neccessary to reduce the number of attacks on the right bank of the Kherson region and to protect residents of coastal settlements.
