Russian losses are probably the highest since the peak of the battle for Bakhmut in March - British intelligence
In recent days, the fiercest fighting has taken place in Bakhmutsk direction, in the western part of Donetsk region and in Zaporizhzhia. The Ukrainian army is advancing in all of these areas and has had some success.
The Russian army is currently suffering the greatest losses from the peak of fighting for Bakhmut in March of this year. This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense, citing intelligence data.
The British defence ministry stated that in recent days, the most intense fighting has been taking place in Zaporizhzhia Region, in the west of Donetschina, and around Bakhmut.
"In all these directions Ukraine continues to conduct offensive operations and has achieved minor successes. In the south, Russian forces often conduct relatively effective defense operations," the British Defense Ministry noted.
Ukraine is paying a terrible price to liberate its land. However, the Russian invaders are suffering even greater losses, comparable to those of the occupiers at the peak of the fighting for Bakhmut.
"Both sides are suffering significant losses, with Russian losses probably the highest since the peak of the battle for Bakhmut in March," the British defense ministry noted.
