The aggressor country Russia has not deployed warships to the Black Sea or the Sea of Azov. At the same time, it keeps several Kalibr missile carriers in the Mediterranean sea.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Navy. The information on the maneuvers of enemy vessels was up to date as of 07:00 on Sunday, March 17.
It is noted that at that time there were no enemy ships in the Black and Azov Seas. Three ships were observed in the Mediterranean Sea, including two Kalibr cruise missile carriers with a total volley of up to 12 missiles.
In addition, in the interests of Russia, during the day the Kerch Strait was passed by:
- eight ships heading to the Sea of Azov (none of them were sailing from the Bosporus)
- nine ships heading to the Black Sea (two of them continued to move in the direction of the Bosphorus).
"The Russian Federation continues to violate the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea of 1974 (SOLAS) by disabling automatic identification systems (AIS)," the Ukrainian Navy emphasized.
As reported, the Russian occupiers have not been deploying ships to the Black Sea for a long time. The Kalibr cruise missile carriers have been at their home bases for three weeks.
