French President Emmanuel Macron made a statement about the war in Ukraine. He stressed that it is inappropriate to hope that Russia's aggression will end with Donbas and Crimea.

This was reported by Reuters. According to Macron, Russia believes that it is at war because of the support provided by the West to Ukraine.

He stressed that it would be a mistake to imagine that Russia intends to stop its aggression in Donbas and Crimea.

"We are also opening up uncertainty about Russia's military objectives," Macron added.

It is worth noting that after the "presidential election" Russia declared that the aggressor state "is in a state of war." The Kremlin justifies the refusal to use the official rhetoric about the alleged "special military operation" on the territory of Ukraine by the need for "internal mobilization" of every Russian citizen.

As reported, French President explained that his statements about sending troops to Ukraine were aimed at avoiding an escalation of the war. However, now he "does not advocate for offensive initiatives because it is not the spirit of collective solidarity."

At the same time, it was Macron who said that there were no red lines regarding Russia's aggression.
