Ukrainian air defense forces repelled a massive attack of the Russian Federation on the night of August 14, which it carried out in several waves of missiles and attack UAVs. We are talking about neutralization of eight Kalibers and 15 kamikaze drones.

All of them the enemy directed at Odessa. This was reported in the Air forces of the AFU, adding that in the area of Bakhmut district defenders also destroyed another Russian helicopter.

It is noted that on Monday night the occupiers made several waves of air attacks. They launched strike drones from the southeastern direction(Primorsko-Akhtarsk), and Kalibr cruise missiles - from the waters of the Black Sea (enemy frigate near Yalta).

"In total, the enemy used 15 Shahed-136/131 and eight Kalibr missiles. By forces and means of air defense of the Air Force in cooperation with units of other components of the Defense Forces, all targets were destroyed. Used anti-aircraft guided missiles and small arms of units directly in the message," - stated in the message.

The military indicated that as a result of the anti-aircraft battle there was a fall of debris of missiles and drones, which caused a fire in several locations in Odessa. Rescuers are working there.

"And some more good news in conclusion: at about 05:00 on August 14, 2023, an enemy helicopter (type to be specified) was destroyed by an anti-aircraft missile unit of the Air Force in the Bakhmut direction. We hold the sky! Together - to victory!" - added in the AF AFU.
