Occupiers plan to stage a public surrender of Ukrainian passports in the Kherson region - the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The Russian invaders continue to exert pressure on the residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to acquire Russian passports. Meanwhile, the enemy is attempting to stage a spectacle around the process of surrendering Ukrainian documents for presentation on Russian TV.

Currently, the Russians are organizing a public display of the surrender of Ukrainian passports on the Arabat Spit in the Kherson region. This information was announced on Tuesday, November 7, during a broadcast of the national telethon "United News" by the spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andrii Kovalov.

According to him, in the village of Strilkove, Kherson region, the Russians have planned a so-called event where residents can surrender their Ukrainian passports. "Propagandists will film those citizens who choose to surrender their passports in exchange for a Russian document. These videos will then be used to create stories that will be broadcast on Russian television."

Earlier, the National Resistance Center reported that Russians are persistently pushing for the passportization of residents in the temporarily occupied territories. Despite all their efforts, the rate of passportization among the local population barely exceeds 50%, which is unsatisfactory for Russia.

That's why the enemy is devising new methods to compel Ukrainians to obtain Russian passports.
