NRC: occupiers threaten to take children away from parents in temporarily occupied territories
Occupants threaten to take children away from their parents in the occupied territories of Ukraine

Russian occupiers continue to terrorize residents in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, they have begun blackmailing parents, threatening to take their children away from them if underage Ukrainians do not take Russian citizenship by the end of October.

The invaders threaten to place children without Russian passports in shelters and foster homes. This was reported by the National Resistance Center.

They are blackmailing parents of minors that they will take away their children and hand them over to the occupation "guardianship authorities" if these children refuse Russian passports.

"Parents of children forced to attend enemy schools were given 'time to think' until the end of October. Either the child becomes a citizen of Russia, or the data about them will be transferred to the occupation 'guardianship authorities'. After that, the child may be forcibly taken away from his or her parents and placed in an orphanage and then in a foster family," the Center noted.

The Center recalled that child abduction is one of the signs of genocide. They added that they are closely monitoring the situation in the TOT and recording the names of all those involved in the crime.

"The Resistance Movement participants have already eliminated many occupiers who were engaged in the implementation of genocidal policies on Ukrainian soil. We have all the lists and all the names at our disposal. The reckoning will be inevitable," the NRC assured.

Earlier, the Center said that the Russian occupiers have engaged Russian "Cossacks" to guard schools in southern Ukraine. They often behave inappropriately.

"The 'guards', who are mostly drunk on duty, harassed children because of their hairstyles and clothes, used physical force, and insulted them. There have even been cases of sexual harassment of schoolchildren.
