NATO and EU representatives discussed support for Ukraine: what was decided
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg met with European Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton at the Alliance's headquarters. The parties emphasized the importance of cooperation between NATO and the EU to "address common priorities".
This was reported by the Alliance. The main "common priorities" were called increasing defense production and ensuring long-term support for Ukraine.
Commissioner Breton also informed about the meeting of the NATO Council chaired by Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană. In his turn, Mr. Geoană emphasized that NATO is implementing the Defense Production Action Plan agreed upon in Vilnius. This plan, we recall, should accelerate joint procurement and increase production capacity to support Ukraine.
