Main Directorate of Intelligence told whether they are 100% sure of Prigozhin's death in the plane crash

The Main Directorate of Intelligence is not 100 percent sure of Prigozhin's death

Ukrainian intelligence is not 100% sure that the leader of the PMC "Wagner" Yevgeny Prygozhin died in a plane crash in Russia's Tver region on August 23. At the same time, the Main Directorate of Intelligence confirms information about the death of his accomplice Dmitri Utkin.

This was reported by a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Yusov during an interview with Ukrinform. He noted that in the situation with the death of Prygozhin there are still unanswered questions.

"So far we can speak 100% about the confirmed death of Utkin and some more passengers. As for Prigozhin, let's just say that not all questions have been closed yet," he said.

Yusov did not go into details, but added that the Main Directorate of Intelligence can confirm the death of Utkin and other henchmen of the mercenary leader Prigozhin. However, regarding the death of the Wagner leader himself, he noted that "we have to wait for some more time."

Recall that in the evening of August 23 in the Bologovsky district of the Tver region of the Russian Federation, 15 kilometers from the airbase Khotilovo, crashed a plane belonging to Evgeny Prigozhin Embraer ERG 135. There were 10 people on board - seven passengers and three crew members. All of them died.

Subsequently, Russia officially confirmed the death of the owner of PMC "Wagner" in the plane crash. DNA examination established the identity of all ten victims.

The founder of PMC "Wagner" Yevgeny Prigozhin at one time compiled a secret instruction with algorithms of PMC actions in different scenarios. Even with the elimination of the entire top mercenaries - Prigozhin, Utkin, Chekalov. According to his recommendations, the commander with the call sign "Lotus" was to become the leader of "Wagner".

The founder of the Russian PMC "Wagner" Yevgeny Prigozhin was buried on August 29 at the Porokhovsky cemetery in the Krasnogvardeysky district of St. Petersburg. The farewell ceremony was held in a closed format. Russian President Vladimir Putin was not present at it.
