IRIS-T, surface drones and more: Germany provides Ukraine with new aid package

On Friday, October 27, Germany handed over a new military aid package to Ukraine. This time, it includes one IRIS-T surface-to-air missile launcher, four armored personnel carriers and other weapons.
This was reported by the press service of the German government. This is the fourth package from Germany in October.
The new aid package includes, in particular:
- IRIS-T SLM (long-range) air defense systems;
- missiles for IRIS-T;
- TRML-4D RADAR;
- 4 armored personnel carriers (unknown name);
- 4 HX81 tank tractors;
- 4 tank trailers;
- 6 border guard vehicles;
- 8 Vector UAVs;
- 5 surface drones;
- 4 GO 12 counter-battery radars;
- M26 cluster munitions for HIMARS;
- 10 thousand protective goggles.
The German government noted that this year Ukraine received a total of 5.4 billion euros in military aid from Berlin.
It is worth noting that Germany is the largest partner in Europe and the second largest partner in the world after the United States in supporting Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Germany has provided Kyiv with almost 24 billion euros in aid, and is currently preparing a winter package worth 1.4 billion. It includes, among other things, Patriot, Iris-T6, Gepard air defense systems and other weapons.
As OBOZ.UA reported, in October, Ukraine received a new batch of military aid from Germany. It included, among other military equipment and machinery, three Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft systems, which the defenders of our skies use, among other things, to eliminate enemy drones.
