General Staff: 7 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia sector liberated from occupants

The Ukrainian Defence Forces liberated 7 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia sector from the Russian occupiers and thereby regained control over 103 square kilometres of Ukrainian territory. The advance of Ukrainian units into the enemy's defences ranged from 3 to 6.5 km.
Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this at a briefing at the Military Media Centre today. According to him, Ukrainian forces advanced in the Melitopol and Berdiansk sectors.
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian troops liberated 6 settlements in the latter area: Levadne, Novodarivka, Neskuchne, Storozheve, Makarivka and Bilohorivka. Control was regained over 81 square kilometres.
In the direction of Melitopol, the advance of Ukrainian troops south of the village of Mala Tokmachka was up to 3 km. As a result of the operation, 22 square kilometres were taken under control and the village of Lobkove was liberated.
