Ex-head of Roscosmos Rogozin is now a "senator" of occupied part of Zaporizhzhia: what is known

The former head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, is now a "senator" of the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region. He was appointed by Yevhen Balytsky, a collaborator and accomplice of the Russian occupiers in the temporarily occupied Melitopol.

This "decision" was made on Saturday, September 23. This was reported by Russian media.

Meanwhile, the Kremlin propagandists recalled a video recorded by Rogozin, where he quoted a story by Nikolai Gogol. They have already linked the appointment to the fact that Rogozin allegedly "foresaw" it.

Commenting on the video, the former head of Roscosmos said that "fate itself" had sent him "to the land of Zaporizhzhia."

The information that Rogozin could win a seat in the upper house of the Russian parliament, the Federation Council, first appeared in the Russian media on September 17.

Rogozin was previously appointed as an "authorized representative" or "minister for the annexed (occupied - ed.) territories."

At the end of December 2022, explosions were heard at the Shesh-Besh complex in the temporarily occupied Donetsk, where the former head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin was celebrating his birthday.

After explosions in Donetsk on December 21, Russian propagandists claimed that one of the shell fragments hit Rogozin in the spine and that doctors in Rostov-on-Don were allegedly unable to remove it. Therefore, the Russian had to be transported to Moscow to have a consultation on further medical care. Subsequently, Rogozin published a photo from the hospital. He also sent French President Emmanuel Macron a piece of shrapnel from his spine and threatened with further actions.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the Spy Dossier Telegram channel, citing sources, wrote that the attack on the restaurant where Rogozin celebrated his birthday could have been arranged by the owner of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin. Thus, the shells were launched from the positions of the Wagner soldiers near Marinka.
