Estonia will provide Ukraine with a new batch of aid: what weapons are included

Defence Minister calls on partners to speed up military support

Estonia has announced a new batch of military aid to Ukraine. It will include 150 small arms and ammunition.

The decision was made at a meeting of the Estonian government on 10 August, its press service reports. As noted, the country's Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur stated the need to support Ukraine, which is fighting Russian aggression.

"Ukraine needs to be supported against the ongoing Russian aggression. We have again found a way for Estonia to lend a helping hand. Russia should not benefit from the aggression. To do this, Ukraine's supporters should speed up military aid and improve the capabilities of their own defence industry," he said.

Since the beginning of the large-scale war, Tallinn has provided Ukraine with military aid worth more than $400 million, which is more than 1% of its GDP, the Estonian government said.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL:

- Earlier, Hanno Pevkur said that all allies should increase military assistance to Ukraine, as they have no other choice - Ukraine must win this war.

- The representative of the Estonian General Staff, Colonel Mart Vendla, predicted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could make progress in the counter-offensive by winter. He noted that the occupiers' defence line is uneven, so Ukrainian defenders can break through it.

- Estonian Chief of General Staff Eero Rebo believes that when the Ukrainian Armed Forces find the enemy's weakness, the next stage of the counter-offensive will begin - a breakthrough of enemy defences and possible quick success.
